To Pee Or Not To Pee

One common topic that is hard to avoid when it comes to a pool is urine. Not everyone’s favorite topic but it does come up. This question is made popular by public pools where several people go in and “go in”. There is a very good chance you are not going to have 500 people going in and out of your pool each day. What about if you have a pool party and there are 20 or 30 people in and out of your pool including children? The general answer is that you don’t have to worry too much about it.

Urine in your pool can be dangerous in highly concentrated amounts. To reach that level you need a whole lot of people in it at one time. More than any private pool will have in it. Typically your pool will be just fine as long as you do the normal cleaning and maintenance. In such small amounts that would be generated in a private indoor pool, it won’t even be noticeable much less dangerous. Even when you go into a public pool there is very little chance of it being in such a concentration to cause any harm to your health.

This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t discourage people from peeing in your pool. It simply means it’s not the end of the world if they do. Rather or not you take a strong stance on the issue is completely up to you. Personally, I would like to go into a pee free pool but you can’t always choose. Unless you bar everyone from going near your pool. Which is reasonable when you have an Artesian Pool.

Do you not have this concern because you don’t have a pool? We can fix that problem. Contact the Orlando Pool and Spa Experts to get started on your perfect dream pool.
